We're proud to be supporting GroZone Community Garden

We're proud to be supporting GroZone Community Garden in Northwich.

As part of our social value commitments, our contractors Huws Gray have donated timber which will be used to help create a new shelter for the site as well as benches and tables.

GroZone is much more than a community garden. It provides therapeutic gardening sessions, supports mental and physical wellbeing, runs outdoor learning programmes for children and families and grows fresh produce that is shared with volunteers and the wider community. They have big plans for the future, including creating more wheelchair-accessible growing beds so even more people can enjoy the benefits of gardening and spending time outdoors.

To support these future plans, our contract partners Holdcroft are donating £300 towards labour costs and AA Woods are donating £500 for help with funding workshops.

Jayne Pullar, our Social Value Lead, said: “Weaver Vale Housing Trust are proud that, through our social value commitments and the generosity of our contract partners, we’re helping Grozone Community Garden create a more welcoming and accessible space for local people. This support will enable Grozone to continue improving wellbeing, bringing families together and giving even more people the chance to enjoy the outdoors.”

A huge thank you to everyone involved. By working together, we're helping GroZone continue its fantastic work in supporting our local communities.
