Our Executive Leadership Team

Our Executive Leadership Team, led by our Chief Executive Wayne Gales and supported by our Executive Directors, Cath Bett and Gareth Rigby, provides the strategic direction, vision, and day‑to‑day leadership that drive us forward.

Together, they are responsible for delivering our Corporate Plan, ensuring high‑quality homes and services, maintaining strong financial and regulatory performance, and championing a culture where colleagues feel valued and empowered.

Alongside our Board, they set our overall strategic focus, represent the Trust regionally and nationally, and ensure customer voice shapes how we work.  Our Executive Directors also lead key operational and strategic areas including homes, communities, customer experience, finance, and corporate support. 

Wayne Gales - Chief Executive

Wayne provides overall leadership and direction for the Trust, ensuring we operate in line with our Vision, Values, and Corporate Plan and Objectives.

He works closely with the Trust's Board to shape organisational strategy and is accountable for delivering the agreed strategic goals. Wayne leads all colleagues, oversees day‑to‑day performance, and ensures robust corporate assessment and assurance processes are in place. He also develops and maintains strong external partnerships that support the Trust’s mission and long‑term partnerships.

Cath Bett - Executive Director of Finance & Business Services

Cath leads a wide-ranging portfolio focused on the Trust’s financial resilience, governance, and organisational capability. She is responsible for financial planning and management, business planning, and maintaining strong relationships with funders.

Her role also encompasses oversight of legal services, internal and external audit, and ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance, and assurance. In addition, Cath oversees Human Resources and Organisational Development, PR and Communications, and leads our technology transformation and IT functions, ensuring we have the systems, people, and processes in place to deliver a modern, high‑performing, and well‑governed Trust.

Gareth Rigby - Executive Director of Customer, Place & Services

Gareth leads a wide-ranging portfolio that spans the full customer and property journey. He is responsible for regeneration, development, as well as the management of property services, open spaces, assets, and planned investment. His remit includes health and safety, property compliance, tenancy and neighbourhood sustainability, and oversight of the Customer Hub and Customer Voice.

Gareth also leads our Tenancy Services Teams', Rent Teams, Work Team including, energy advice, Money Matters, and wider financial inclusion support, ensuring safe homes, great services, and strong, resilient communities.
