Questions about Apprenticeships?
What is an apprenticeship at Weaver Vale?
An apprenticeship gives you the chance to earn while you learn, gain a nationally recognised qualification, and build real hands‑on experience in the workplace.
How does the training work?
You’ll learn on the job with support from experienced colleagues, and your qualification will be delivered through a training provider or local college. Some apprentices may attend college one day a week.
Who can apply for an apprenticeship?
Anyone aged 16 and over. Apprenticeships are ideal if you’re starting your first job, moving on from college, retraining for a new career, or returning to work.
Why does Weaver Vale value apprentices?
Apprentices bring fresh ideas and energy to our teams, while gaining knowledge and experience from established colleagues across the Trust.
What is the aim of the apprenticeship programme?
It’s not just about gaining a qualification, apprenticeships help you build the skills, confidence and experience you need to thrive in a modern workplace.
How long does an apprenticeship take?
Most apprenticeships take two to four years, depending on the level, route and your personal progress.
