Our Culture
Our values set the tone for our everyday work life, we ensure our values are an essential and natural part of the Trust across throughout our words and actions. This is also true for the many additional activities we hold such as fundraising for nominated charities.
Our Giving Something Back group regularly organise events for colleagues such as virtual duck races, well-being walks, lunchtime quizzes, to name a few. Our Charity of the Year 2023 is St Luke's (Cheshire) Hospice. We previously raised money for YoungMinds raising over £8,300.
Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year we supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end of life care on our ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness.
We are a charity and were established following a fundraising campaign in the mid 1980’s which was championed by local people, and 30 years later we continue to be supported in this way. In fact, nearly 85% of our care is funded by donations. You can find out more by visiting here.
We also organise various sporting team matches, lunch and learn sessions and use ColourWorks profiling to really get to know each other and how to work best together.
