What can individual grants be used for?
Individual grants can help with*:
- Training course fees and learning resources, including study‑related travel (if not covered elsewhere)
- Uniform, tools, or equipment needed for a job or new role
- Support to set up a business (with a business plan)
- Transport costs to get to work (up to 6 weeks)
- Support to attend Further Education

How much funding can individuals receive?
Most individual grants are up to £150, but the exact amount depends on your request and will be assessed case‑by‑case.
How long will it take to get a decision?
Requests may take time to fulfil depending on contractor commitments. We cannot put a timescale on it
What can groups or organisations apply for?
Groups and organisations can request money or resources for projects that*:
- Help people get online or use digital services
- Create opportunities for young people
- Promote health and wellbeing
- Reduce loneliness and social isolation
- Tackle poverty and food insecurity
- Improve community spaces and facilities (indoors or outdoors)
- Reduce anti‑social behaviour
- Encourage community learning

Is there a minimum or maximum amount for group funding?
No. Most group requests involve materials or services provided by our contractors, so there is no set minimum or maximum.
