We joined Age UK yesterday for an amazing Day of Action around Rudheath.
It was a brilliant day of helping the community fill up skips and clear the area as well as speaking to local residents about staying winter safe and ways of tackling isolation.
Our staff also took part in bulb picking and planted lots of daffodils ready to bloom in the warmer spring months. One resident said: "This is nice being able to talk to staff and Weaver Vale putting effort in with the bulb planting. It will look beautiful in the spring and improve the grassed area.“ Thank you to everyone we spoke to about the neighbourhood, it was amazing to see so much pride and community spirit.
We are looking forward to organising more days of action in the future.
