Listening today, shaping tomorrow

Last Friday, we welcomed over 50 customers to 'Let's Talk About Tomorrow' - our customer strategy consultation event, an important opportunity to listen, learn and shape the future of Weaver Vale Housing Trust, together.

The event was designed to gather customer insights and views on the priorities that matter most, as we develop our next Corporate Plan. Through a mix of presentations, facilitated discussions, networking and an open leadership Q&A, customers had the opportunity to share their views on everything from homes and neighbourhoods to customer services, colleagues, finances and the environment.

Customers spoke openly and honestly about their experiences, highlighting what we are doing well, where we can improve and what they would like to see from us in the years ahead. Their feedback, ideas and challenge will help influence our decision-making and ensure that our future plans are set in what matters most to the people we serve.

Discussions took place around our strategy’s - Our Customers, Our Homes and Places, Our People, Our Money and Our Environment. These conversations reinforced something we strongly believe at the Trust: the best decisions are made when we listen to those who are directly affected by them.

The event also provided an opportunity for customers to meet members of our senior leadership team, ask questions, explore strategy information displays and connect and chat with other customers. The atmosphere throughout the day was positive, constructive and focused on making a real difference. Thank you to everyone who attended and shared views. Your time, honesty and commitment are invaluable. We are now reviewing the feedback and will use it to help shape our future priorities and services.

Listening to our customers isn't something we do once a year, it's at the heart of how we work. Events like this remind us of the power of genuine engagement and the importance of creating opportunities for people to influence the services they receive.

Alison Greenough, Director of Customer Experience said,

"What made this day so great was the honesty and openness of our customers. People gave their time to share their experiences and ideas for the future, and every conversation really meant something. We want our customers to feel heard and know that their views genuinely influence the decisions we make. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped us shape what comes next."
