We want to make you aware of reports that people claiming to be connected to Weaver Vale Housing Trust have been visiting some of our customers' homes to discuss repairs.
To help keep you safe, please remember that we will never visit your home to discuss repairs without arranging an appointment with you first.
All Weaver Vale colleagues and contractors will:
If someone knocks on your door and says they are calling about repairs, please ask to see their identification before speaking with them. If they cannot provide valid Weaver Vale ID, we advise that you do not let them into your home or share any information about your repairs or tenancy.
Some callers may suggest they can arrange or complete repairs more quickly than Weaver Vale Housing Trust.
They may also tell you that you need to digitally sign documents (such as on a tablet) in order for repair works to be completed. We would not require you to do this and would only ask you to digitally sign documents to confirm completion of works. We would recommend that you do not sign any documents (including digital ones) unless you know exactly what it is that you are signing.
