Government Funded Improvement Work

Keeping your home safe, warm and energy efficient

At Weaver Vale Housing Trust, your safety and comfort are important to us. That’s why we’re proud to be part of the government-funded Warm Homes Scheme , a national programme aimed at improving energy efficiency in social housing.

We’re working with trusted partners to deliver this scheme locally, helping to make many of our homes warmer, healthier, and more affordable to heat.

What we’re doing

We’re working with Ecogee to carry out improvement works in many of our homes to help reduce heat loss and make them more energy efficient.

Before any work begins, we conduct detailed surveys to understand the condition of each home and what upgrades are needed. Thanks to our strong relationship with residents and our in-depth knowledge of our homes, we can make sure the right improvements are made in the right places.

This includes:

  • Fitting solar panels to help generate clean energy
  • Installing modern heating systems like heat pumps
  • Adding insulation and better ventilation to keep your home warm and comfortable

How we’re funding the work

We’re part of a group of housing organisations working with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority , which has secured £48 million in funding through the Warm Homes programme.

This means we can:

  • Focus on homes that need the most improvements
  • Carry out upgrades over the next three years
  • Help reduce fuel costs and cut carbon emissions

Please be aware

We’ve been made aware that some customers have received letters from third-party companies offering energy efficiency upgrades. Please disregard these letters. We have not authorised any other companies to contact residents or carry out funded energy efficiency work on our properties.

All contractors we use are properly vetted to ensure safety, quality, and compliance . If you wish to undertake any upgrades, this must go through our formal permissions process .
