Working with Contractors and Suppliers

We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all of our business relationships.

We expect contractors, suppliers, agents and other third parties to act honestly, prevent fraud and wrongdoing, and to raise concerns where issues arise. These expectations form part of our approach to preventing fraud and economic crime.

Anti‑Fraud & Financial Crime (Supplier‑Facing)

Fraud includes false representation, false accounting, misstatements, dishonest invoicing, misuse of information, or any conduct intended to secure an improper benefit.

Contractors and suppliers must not engage in fraudulent activity on our behalf, for their own benefit, or for the benefit of any third party.

Speak‑Up / Whistleblowing

Anyone working for us, including contractors and suppliers, is encouraged to speak up if they become aware of fraud, bribery, unethical behaviour or other wrongdoing.

Concerns can be raised confidentially and will be taken seriously. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

Modern Slavery & Ethical Sourcing

We are committed to preventing modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. We expect our suppliers to uphold human rights and comply with applicable labour laws. Our modern slavery statement can be found further down this page.

Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement

What is Modern Slavery?

Modern Slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking. Traffickers and slave drivers coerce, deceive and force individuals against their will into a life of abuse, servitude and inhumane treatment. A large number of active organised crime groups are involved in modern slavery. But it is also committed by individual opportunistic perpetrators.

What is a Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement?

Organisations with a turnover above £36m are legally required to publish an annual Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement. The Statement should outline the steps an organisation has taken during the previous financial year to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within its own operations or its supply chains.

What is the purpose of a Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement?

The purpose of a Modern Slavery Statement is to demonstrate transparency, accountability, and a proactive victim-centred approach to identifying and mitigating modern slavery risks. It should reflect an organisation’s ethical commitment to uphold human rights and responsible business practices.

The Trust will continue to take responsibility for identifying, assessing, and responding to any incidents of Modern Slavery. The Trust will ensure it has the necessary resources to prevent Modern Slavery within its own operations and supply chains and to work effectively with relevant agencies when such issues arise in the Trust’s communities.

The Trust is committed to working collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, suppliers, partners, and statutory authorities to manage risks and eliminate Modern Slavery from its activities and the communities it supports.
