Keeping development on track during a pandemic
We are proud to announce that over the last financial year we started on site with nearly 120 new homes and completed on 48 in a range of locations including Chester and Wilmslow, this during a year which also saw a global pandemic and three national ' lockdowns'. We are firmly committed to developing affordable homes throughout Cheshire and this now also includes our first developments in Warrington, with two active sites at Sandford Village and Lachford.
We were delighted to take handover on the first phase of the homes at Sandford Village recently with the second phase to follow shortly. The Morris Homes development has seen the Trust acquire 33 two and three bed houses for affordable rent, as part of a wider Morris Homes development with final completion due in August.
Our housebuilding programme in Warrington includes 41 homes for affordable rent in Latchford, where we are working with local company Lane End Construction. The Lachford development is on the site of the former Richmond Social Club which closed its doors in 2019 and will consist of a three-storey apartment complex with 41 apartments due to completed early 2022.

“Our team has worked closely with our trusted partners and has continued to work safely and following all guidelines to deliver new homes which are very much needed and will have a wider impact across our communities.”
