A record breaking year for our Rent Support teams!
Our Rent Support teams have had an excellent year, securing record levels of financial support for customers and helping hundreds of people manage rent pressures, bills, and wider money worries.
Over the last financial year, the team achieved £4,685,160.04 in income gains, the highest figure ever recorded! £1,224,055.79 of this was awarded through Housing Benefit and Universal Credit Housing Costs, to help support renting costs.
The team also helped a record number of people, getting 1,869 individual financial outcomes for 876 customers.
Here's what else the team achieved:
- 57 customers were supported to migrate to Universal Credit, securing a total of £857,000
- 94 customers received help to claim Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Disability Living Allowance (DLA), totalling £939,000
- 32 customers were supported to claim Attendance Allowance, securing £136,000
- 47 customers received help claiming Pension Credit, with awards totalling £268,000
