A dedication to Edna
Last week we were deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our longest serving involved customer, Edna Samlofski.
Edna, age 91, devoted more than 25 years of her life to volunteering with the Trust, leaving a legacy of dedication, kindness, and steadfast commitment to her community.
Edna’s journey with us began unexpectedly, when she saw a sign asking for council volunteers while walking through Northwich. From that simple moment, she went on to play an extraordinary and influential role within the Trust. Her involvement began with Vale Royal Borough Council and continued through Weaver Vale, where she became a signatory on our original transfer agreement and contributed tirelessly to customer involvement groups, including the Tenants Consultative Committee and the Customer Assurance Team.
Her passion for giving customers a voice also led her to serve as a board member for four years, an opportunity she cherished and one she often reflected on with pride and gratitude. On behalf of everyone at the Trust and the customers she championed, we extend our deepest thanks for Edna’s unwavering dedication, warmth, and wisdom. She made an indelible mark on our services and on all those who had the privilege of working alongside her.
