£500 donation to Weaverham Community Centre
Earlier this week we were delighted to hand over a £500 donation to Weaverham Community Centre, as part of our Social Value Fund.
The cheque was presented to Pete Wilkinson, one of the Centre’s Trustees, by our Customer Liaison Officer, Lindsey Kelsall and Project Manager, Emma Wolfendale, alongside the Community Centre Manager and Abbie Riley from Ecogee. The funds will help the centre continue providing vital resources, activities and support to the local community. Ecogee, our trusted contractor on the Social Housing Fund (SHF) Warm Homes Wave 3 project, kindly donated to the community centre as part of our Social Value Fund.
Through our Social Value Fund and collaborative partnerships with suppliers and contractors, we’re proud to support local people and projects. Whether it’s volunteering time, donating money, or providing materials, organisations are helping to give back across our communities with our guidance and direction. The fund enables individuals to apply for personal grants, covering essentials like uniforms, training courses, equipment, or transport costs, while community groups can apply for funding to support programmes that make a difference locally.
