Just Rewards - terms and conditions
The promoter is Weaver Vale Housing Trust Ltd (the “Trust”) (Company Registration Number 04227894) which has its registered office at Gadbrook Point, Rudheath Way, Gadbrook Park, Northwich, Cheshire, a registered social landlord which is registered with the Homes & Communities Agency under the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 (Registration number L4341) and a registered charity which is registered with the Charities Commission (Registration number 1105813).
These Terms and Conditions should be read in conjunction with the Customer Reward Policy.
By participating in the prize draw, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this promotion.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRY
- Entrants will be customers of the Trust who on the date of the prize draw:
- hold an assured tenancy agreement with the Trust for the property which they currently occupy; and
- have maintained their assured tenant status for the previous 13 weeks.
If there is more than one customer named in the tenancy agreement , then all of the customers together will be classed as one entrant.
The following customers will be excluded from entering the prize draw:
- residential leaseholders;
- commercial (shop) tenants;
- shared owners;
- starter tenants;
- demoted tenants; and
- garage or garage plot tenants who do not otherwise meet the criteria at (5) above.
Entrants who will be eligible to receive a prize are those who, on the date of the relevant prize draw;
(i) do not owe more than 5 times their weekly rent charge; or
(ii) who owe between 0 and 5 times their weekly rent charge but have over the 13 weeks prior to the prize draw been complying with a voluntary agreement to repay their arears weekly by at least the minimum amount recommended by the Department for Work and Pensions.;
are not subject to a Court Order for rent arrears and/or any other tenancy breach;
do not owe any other monies to the Trust;
not have failed to allow access for any responsive repairs appointments during the 13 weeks prior to the date of the relevant prize draw including safety checks.
have a valid servicing certificate for the following (where applicable):
(ii) solid fuel;
have met the conditions of their tenancy agreement (the assessment of which shall be entirely at the discretion of the Trust);
do not have a live application under any statutory scheme applicable to the Trust to purchase their home; and
are not disqualified from entering under the exclusions in paragraphs 5 and 7.
Any tenant who does not wish to participate in the prize draw should notify the Trust of their wish and can do so by contacting email@example.com As joint tenants are only entitled to one entry between them, where a joint tenant notifies the Trust that they do not wish to participate in the prize draw, the notification will operate to withdraw both joint tenants from the prize draw. Joint tenants may only participate in the draw where both are in agreement.
THE PRIZE DRAW
The prize draw will be carried out on the last Monday of every month (or, if that day is not a working day, on the next working day) (or such other time as may be determined by the Trust ).
3 entrants will be automatically selected at random each month by the Trust’s housing management system and subject to meeting the eligibility criteria set out at paragraphs 5, 7 and 8, will each win a prize of £1,000.
A visit to the property of any selected entrant will be undertaken by a representative (or representatives) of the Trust to provide final validation of eligibility. The visit will include a full home property inspection.
The Trust will use all reasonable endeavours to notify the selected entrants by telephone and letter on the day of the prize draw or the following working day (if a bank holiday).
If the selected entrants cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, the Trust reserves the right to withdraw the prize and divide the prize money between any other eligible selected entrants.
The Trust will not be responsible for any inability of the selected entrant to take up the specified prize.
In the event that a selected entrant is not eligible for their share of the prize money, it will be divided equally between any remaining selected entrant(s) who is/are eligible.
In the event that none of the 3 selected entrants are eligible for the prize money it will roll over to the following month as per the Customer Reward Policy.
If the winner has rent arrears on their rent account the prize money will first be applied to their account to reduce their arrears. The winner will only receive any prize monies which remain once the rent arrears have been paid in full.
The prize is not transferrable, but may be converted into a rent credit with the agreement of the Trust.
The Trust will require a selected entrant to provide written confirmation as to the preferred method of payment for the prize money.
Any selected entrant who it is subsequently discovered was ineligible for the prize draw and who should not have participated in the draw will not be entitled to claim the prize (and will be liable to return any prize already received).
The winner(s) will need to give their consent for the use of their name(s)and image(s) being used in any publicity material.
Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK Data Protection legislation and in line with the Trust’s policies and procedures relating to confidential information and data protection and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
Customers who are also employees of the Trust, members of the Trust’s Committees, members of the Trust’s Board, or any family members of such customers shall be entitled to participate in the prize draw but will not be involved in any part of the prize draw process (i.e. determining whether any breach of the tenancy agreement has occurred, administration of the prize draw, etc.).
The Trust reserves the right to cancel or amend the prize draw and these terms and conditions without notice.
The Trust’s decision in respect of all matters concerning the prize draw will be final and no communication will be entered into.
In the absence of evidence of any dishonesty by or on behalf of the Trust, the Trust shall not be liable for any loss of opportunity arising because of the non participation in the prize draw of any tenant who was eligible for a prize draw but who was excluded.
