Weaver Vale staff give the Salvation Army a helping hand

It’s safe to say that Christmas is one of the busiest times for the Salvation Army in Winsford.

Our CEO Wayne Gales joined Diane and Angela from our support and wellbeing team to visit the hard-working volunteers who are spreading joy to those in need over the festive period.

Wayne, Diane and Angie also stopped by to visit Kerry, a Weaver Vale customer who has overcome her fair share of adversity over the years. They  dropped off a hamper and some presents just in time for the festive season.

Diane Bond, Housing Support Worker with Weaver Vale Housing Trust said:

“The Salvation Army offer a lifeline to people all-year round, and we have worked very closely with them over the years in terms of supporting our customers who are in need.

“When we arrived the volunteers were rushed off their feet. The phone was ringing non-stop with people needed support. We offered to help by delivering a food hamper and presents to a family who had fallen on hard times.”

“We also presented a Salvation Army volunteer Jean with a well-deserved bouquet of flowers. Jean has been supporting our customers for the past 12 years. She is an absolute star and we can’t thank her enough for everything she has done over the years.”
