We are one of Winsford's STARS! Success for our Work Team
We are really pleased to announce that our Work Team won Local Business of the Year at the Winsford Stars Awards 2022! The ceremony was hosted on Monday May 9th by the Town Mayor of Winsford, Councillor Nathan Pardoe. Entrants were nominated by people in the community of Winsford, for the work they do to help the people of Winsford - you can read the Work Team entry below.
From day 1 of lockdown the Work Team at Weaver Vale have worked tirelessly to support job seekers and vulnerable people, at this time most other services were not operating. The team contacted people initially to ensure their wellbeing and to out a plan of action in place to ensure that people have access to food and gas/electricity etc.
The team then continued to support people into work or for those furthest from the job market additional services such as counselling for anxiety & depression were provided. Over the last 2 years the team have doubled the number into work annually in comparison with pre-Covid. The team genuinely care about the people that they work with. It takes time & patience to do this and every individual receives both in abundance.
