Two New Directors join the Trust

We are delighted to welcome two new directors to the Trust.

Gareth Rigby has been appointed as the Trust’s new Director of Property. Gareth joins us from South Liverpool Homes where he was the housing group’s Director of Assets and Development. Gareth has over 16 years’ experience working in the building and construction industry. He will be responsible for overseeing the Trust’s most ambitious development programme to date, as we aim to build 570 homes over the next five years

Andrew Rafferty joins the Trust in a brand new position as Director of Technology & Business Improvement. Andrew has held several IT –based Board level positions at supermarket chain Booths, including Director of IT & E-Commerce

Wayne Gales, Chief Executive at Weaver Vale said: “We are delighted to welcome Gareth and Andrew to the Trust. I believe they will make a significant contribution to our new Corporate Plan, which places the customer at the heart of all we do.

“They are joining us at an exciting time and their extensive skills and experience will help us realise our ambition to grow, build much needed new homes and ensure that our services are fit for the future.

“We are an ambitious organisation, particularly when it comes to our development programme and in terms of improving the services we offer our customers. Both Gareth and Andrew very much fit Weaver Vale’s culture and values and have a strong customer focus.”

Gareth said: “I am excited to work with the team at Weaver Vale Housing Trust.  I am looking forward to helping deliver a strategy that will see the Trust build hundreds of new homes over the next five years. I am part of a very committed property services team here at the Trust and we will also continue to invest heavily in improvements for customers in our existing homes.”

Andrew said: “Weaver Vale has great reputation when it comes to delivering quality services for its customers. The Trust is in a very healthy position and I am very much looking forward to supporting Weaver Vale’s drive to improve service efficiency, develop its digital offer for customers, as well as helping us achieve our other goals for the future.”
