New Defibrillator for Cuddington and Sandiway.
Cuddington Parish Council were struggling to find a company who could donate their time helping renovate the tired and unkept telephone kiosk in Poplar Close after they adopted it from BT in September.
Weaver Vale Housing Trust (WVHT) were happy to offer their services and kindly agreed to renovate the kiosk immediately in Poplar Close so that a defibrillator could be installed by Christmas. The Parish Council had previously conducted a consultation with residents and 89% of residents opted for the kiosk in Poplar Close Cuddington to house a defibrillator.
Once the defibrillator was installed in November, WVHT were keen to see the project through to it’s conclusion and earlier this week, Weaver Vale employee Neil returned to site to put the finishing touches to the kiosk and adding all the signage.
Parish Clerk, Julie says
“Cuddington Parish Council are extremely pleased that Weaver Vale have done such a fantastic job turning the instantly recognisable symbol of British history into a new lease of life and it now means the iconic red kiosk can remain a lifeline for the community”.
Wayne Conner from Weaver Vale Housing Trust said
“We were delighted to help Cuddington Parish Council turn an old, unkept telephone kiosk into a recognisable place for the local community to access a potentially life saving community defibrillator”.
