We advertise all of our available properties through West Cheshire Homes . We encourage our customers to make a housing application and view available properties on a weekly basis.
We have 6,200 homes mainly situated in the following areas;
- Lostock Gralam & Rudheath, Northwich
- Wincham & Weaverham, Northwich
- Outlying rural villages such as Tarporley, Peover, Little Leigh, Byley,
If we do not successfully let a property after advertising through West Cheshire Homes, we will advertise on RightMove. We will undertake full checks to confirm affordability and eligibility and will also need to confirm that any application meets our charitable objectives.

Our rents are very competitive and compare favorably with those of private landlords. You will also have the benefit of online services for paying your rent, reporting a repair, requesting advice and support and you’ll have access to our friendly customer service by phone, email, Facebook and Twitter @weavervale - and face to face service from our head office at Gadbrook Park.

Please note that some properties advertised through RightMove are still undergoing repair work. If we are able to consider you for a particular property, you may have to wait for the works to be completed before receiving your keys. We will of course keep you updated on timescales.

How the process works
Once you have found a home you like, you will need to attend a meeting to sign-up for your property. This takes place either immediately after viewing the property or within a couple of days.
The tenancy agreement is a legal document which covers your rights and responsibilities as a tenant as well as the standards to expect from us. The meeting will take up to one and a half hours and will take place at one of our offices on Gadbrook Park in Rudheath.
In order to receive the keys to your property you will need to bring a number of things to the meeting:
- Rent payment agreed in advance with Early Tenancy Money Advisor
- National insurance number
- Proof of identification
- Next of kin details and contact details
- Full names and dates of birth of everyone moving into the property
- Landline and mobile phone numbers
If you are eligible for Housing Benefit you need to bring the form and supporting evidence with you and ensure that it is fully completed prior to the meeting.
At the meeting you will receive lots of information about our services and explains everything you need to know in order to successfully manage your tenancy. This includes advice on paying your rent, being a good neighbour, reporting repairs and keeping your property in good condition.
You will also be told about your gas and/or electricity supplier and how to arrange a ‘turn on and test’ if you have a gas supply in the property.
Your new property may be eligible for a Dulux decoration voucher; this will be given to you at the meeting, you have up to eight weeks to use this.
At the end of the meeting you will receive your keys!
