Our open spaces are maintained by The Landscape Group who were awarded a five year contract in March 2013, they look after the following:.
Grass is cut from mid March to the end of November, all litter will be removed from the area prior tocutting and all grass cuttings will be removed once cutting is complete.
Grass is maintained from December to mid March. It will not be cut but will be edged and litter picks will take place.
Maintenance of Shrub Beds:
Maintenance of shrub beds is carried out at the same times as grass cutting. The beds are weeded, hoed and litter will be removed. Shrubs are pruned twice a year to control the overall size, shape and growth habits of the shrubs.
There are a minimum of two hedge cuts per year. The first before 1 March and the second in late summer or early Autumn. Hedge cutting includes the removal of brambles, litter, debris, weeds and nettles. Cuttings are removed on the same day.
These include pavements, pathways, communal areas and car parks owned by us. During growing season, weeds are treated and litter will be removed regularly.
Internal and external communal areas owned by us will be inspected once every two weeks by our Community Caretaking Team. They are carried out to ensure that our properties are in good condition and allow us to identify any potential hazards or required repairs.
Play areas owned by us are inspected weekly by our Community Caretaking Team. The Landscape Group complete a monthly inspection by a ROSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) accredited operative.
