Customer participation

Customer participation

We firmly believe that Tenant Participation leads to better decision making and better use of resources.

By supporting and encouraging Tenant Participation through a variety of mechanisms, we believe that this will improve housing services to our customers.

Tenant Participation is a two-way process which benefits both tenants and Weaver Vale Housing Trust. It is your opportunity to get involved in the management of your home, and to influence the services you receive. Join in and help make a difference.

Customer participation: how does it work?

  • Tenants are represented on Weaver Vale Housing Trust’s Board of Management.

  • Tenants of the Trust can become a member of the Tenant Consultative Committee. This Committee meets on a monthly basis with senior staff of the Trust.
  • Tenants and Residents Associations are active within the area, and all tenants and residents are encouraged to join. Weaver Vale Housing Trust provides practical support and funding to groups.
  • Through the establishment of a tenants Sounding Board the Trust carries out surveys, both written and by telephone, to ensure that we are delivering an excellent service.

  • It enables tenants to have more choice
  • Links are made with the Trust’s officers, which enable two way discussion, so that quality of life can be improved
