The Performance Improvement & Enhancement group...Supporting us in improving Services

The Performance Improvement and Enhancement (PIE) Group has been established by the Trust to be an independent tenant panel of “critical friends” who can scrutinise the services that the Trust provides.

The group, which is made up only of customers, has the authority to undertake in depth reviews of any of our services, where performance or standards may warrant it, and make recommendations for improvement directly to the Management and Board of the Trust.

Additionally, the group has the power invested in it, by the Trust, to ensure that all improvements and recommendations are implemented, which makes the PIE group an important tool for customers to be able to make effective changes to services that matter to them.

The Group has already successfully reviewed and recommended improvements to the Trust on:-

·         New customers process & procedures

·         The annual report to customers 2010

The group are now about to complete a review of “Resident involvement in choice” that will bring changes to how we will involve customers in delivering choice across all categories of services in the future.

The PIE Group currently has 5 members who represent a broad range of neighbourhoods and have a good range of skills and experience that they apply when scrutinising service issues on behalf of tenants.

The work is interesting and varied, and is tailored by the supporting PIE officer to suit the member’s time and capabilities. This ensures a broad level of involvement from all, at times to suit each individual.

We support members with training, PC and internet access, and reasonable expenses incurred.

The Group are seeking more customer members who are genuinely interested in being a “critical friend” to the Board and management of the Trust, and who could add value to this small specialist team by supporting them in their investigative work.

If you would like to know more, or have a chat about the group and its work, then please contact Donald who will be pleased to discuss it with you, or meet up and explain to you in person.
