Independent Living Team

The Independent Living Team are a part of Careline, with its professional and fully trained staff, the team offer a service which enables people to live at home with peace of mind . We encourage everyone to enjoy the benefits of living independently and our service helps to achieve this by giving extra support to those who need it.

The Careline Independent Living Team can provide a friendly, supportive and reassuring service via the 24 hour link, every day of the year, between your home and the Careline Response Centre, and if required our Response Team will attend to assess your needs.

The services of the Independent Living Team comes as a part of the tenancy to our system linked properties, but is also available to customers living in their own homes or private rented accommodation via our Private Careline Service.                                                                                                                                                  

We have a team of experienced Independent Living Advisers who respond to emergencies 24 hours a day if required, arriving in one of our highly visible Careline Independent Living Team fleet vehicles.  

We also have a team of Independent Living House Managers and one can be   made available at any of our ten Independent Retirement Apartment Schemes if required  between 8.30a.m and 4.30p.m Monday to Thursday and up until 4p.m on a Friday to support, advise and promote independence

As you grow older perhaps you worry about being safe but wanting to remain in your own home, our Technology Advisers role is to give peace of mind to both the families and our clients who are more vulnerable, with the use of state of the art assistive technology. This helps to keep loved ones living at home longer and in a far safer environment at an affordable cost.

As a team the Weaver Vale Housing Trust Careline have been awarded the Telecare Services Association Parts 1.2. & 3 accreditation and are continually looking to improve the service we offer to our valued customers to maintain this award
